Former state footballer Nisar Ahmed passes away

Former footballer of erstwhile Mysore state, Nisar Ahmed expired yesterday afternoon at Bangalore. He was 75 years old and left his wife and two sons. 

Nisar Ahmed started his football career with Muslims Heroes, famous football club during the 60s and 70s. Also, he played for ASC before bagging a job in AGORC. As a footballer, Nisar’s association with his employer lasted for two decades. 

Nisar represented Mysore in Santosh Trophy in 1969. Nisar started as a goalkeeper, later transformed to a forward line player known for his lethal left foot. He literally scored in every matches for AGORC. 


His body taken to a Masjid at Munireddy Palya today afternoon and post prayer the body taken to the burial ground.

KSFA and BDFA condoled the sudden death of former footballer who displayed outstanding performance during 60 and 70s.
