Former India International John Victor passes away

Former international footballer John Victor expired yesterday at his Secunderabad residence at 7.45 pm. He was 73 years old and left his wife and two sons. 

John represented India in 1967-68 at the Merdeca Cup at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During his heydays in the 60s he turned up for Kolkata clubs namely East Bengal and Mohamedan Sporting. 

Later John joined SBI, Hyderabad and settled in Secunderabad. His younger brother, Victor Amalraj too played for India and in Kolkata. 

His burial took place today 5.15 pm at the Christian Burial Ground at Ambugudu, Secunderabad.   KSFA and BDFA condoled the demise of former India International player.
