South United announces partnerships with NIVIA and Spectrum Physio

South United Football Club, Bengaluru’s first privately-owned football club, has officially named Spectrum as its Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Partner and NIVIA as its Equipment Partner for the coming season.

These partnerships provide South United players access to quality physiotherapy and equipment to help better their game, both on and off the field. 

NIVIA, established in 1934, manufactures world-class sports equipment. The Indian company, headquartered in Jalandhar, is a leading manufacturer of sports equipment, footwear, and accessories for sports like Football, Volleyball, Basketball, and Running.

NIVIA will provide equipment for the main team players and training gear for the best players from the South United grassroots program. The players from the program are children trained under the South United Soccer Schools banner, plied across Bengaluru and Mumbai. 

Spectrum Physio Pvt. Ltd., has been a pioneering physiotherapy team in Bangalore for the past seventeen years. Adapted from western health care models, the company provides premier physiotherapy and rehabilitation services in India. It currently has more than thirty-five qualified and dedicated physiotherapists working under one roof. 

South United, as a part of this deal, would be provided with fitness and rehabilitation regimes executed by Spectrum’s staff. They would also have a physiotherapist on duty during all South United matches.

On the Partnership, Dr Dhanajeyan Jayavel, M.D. of Spectrum Physio Pvt. Ltd., had this to say: “Spectrum Physio is happy to bring its 17 years of sports injury expertise to aid SUFC for their season. As the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Partner, we are looking forward to a mutually beneficial association with the Club.”

South United will be participating in the Bangalore Super Division from 25th January 2017.
