Fielding a very young team, comprising of U-18 boys from Ozone FCB, Young Challengers became the unbeaten champion of BDFA B Division League and lifted the Bangalore Blues Cup.
A total of 14 teams were divided in two groups. In the final between the top teams from each group, Young Challengers, winning all their group matches took on Royals. In the regulation time, both teams were locked at 1-1. Ashwin gave Royals lead in 11th minute, Surender restored parity for Challengers in 28th minute.
In tie-breaker, Young Challengers got the better of Royals by scoring 5 goals to 4.
Both teams gets promotion to A Division while Universal and Oriental relegated to C Division by finishing at the bottom of the table.
