Playing their first match against Chhattisgarh, the Karnataka lads, winner of the last edition, scored an easy 14-0 victory. Karnataka is grouped in Cluster I along with Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. In the other match of Cluster I played today, Meghalaya got the better of Rajasthan 6-0.
Shankarn scored 2 goals in the 5th and 51st minute of the match. Mujumdar scored 6 goals - 20th, 44th, 64th, 76th, 82nd, and 88th minute, Amouse 3 goals - 8th, 76th,and 81st minute, Lokesh in 50th minute, and Rajkiran - 67thand 90th minute.
The winner of last edition plays their next match against Rajasthan on Monday, June 6. Winner from each cluster plus the 2nd best-ranked team from the 7 clusters will qualify for the quarter-final stage.
