State sub-junior team trials 2019

The Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) will be conducting selection trials at the Bangalore Football Stadium from Thursday, June  20, 2019, 3.00 pm onward. Boys born in the age band of January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2006 and who possess original birth certificates, which contains their name and whose birth has been registered within a year are eligible. 

Players with playing kit and age certificates should be present at the BFS, Ashoknagar at 3.00 pm on Thursday, June 20, 2019.

Santosh Trophy South Zone qualifiers kick off on Jan 17

The glamor and sheen of Santosh Trophy, the Senior State Nationals, is all over but Bengaluru is set to host the Santosh Trophy South Zone qualifiers. 

Eight teams are divided in two groups, the winners from both groups will advance to the final stage. Matches will be held at the Bangalore Football Stadium from January 17 to January 22. 

Participating teams include, host Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Pondicherry, Andaman & Nicobar and Services. Karnataka, Services, Telangana and Pondicherry are in Group A and Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Andaman & Nicobar in Group B. 

Though AIFF have yet come up with the tournament fixture, but looks like the inaugural match will be played between host Karnataka and Telangana. 

The zonal pattern was introduced in 2014, last time Santosh Trophy was hosted in 68-69, during the erstwhile Mysore era. Played at Sri Kanteereva Stadium, Mysore beat Bengal in the final. 

Final team list, tournament fixture, etc., are not yet out. 

Regarding the controversy surrounding a player who attended the training camp without any football experience, KSFA president, NA Haris, quietly understated any kind of partiality in the selection of the team, “I have received several personal recommendations, only the deserving played would make the final cut.” 

However, what is suspicious is the manner in which the undeserving player was called in the selection camp, for which the KSFA President had no answer.

[NOTICE] State selection trial for 23rd Senior Women's National

Trials for selection of Karnataka State Team to participate in the 23rd Senior Women's National Football Championship will be conducted from tomorrow, 8.30 AM, Jan 3, 2018 at the Bangalore Football Stadium. 
The Senior Women's National Championship will be held at Cuttack, Odisha.
Players desirous of attending the trials have to bring their original Birth Certificate and Aadhaar Card.

Amoes and three other Bengaluru players in the probables' list for 12th South Asian Games

Ozone FC Bengaluru's medio Amoes and Amrinder, Udanta, and Ranjan Singh from Bengaluru FC are among the probables for 12th South Asian Games. India U-23 Head Coach, Lee Johnson has announced his list of 28 probables for the forthcoming Tournament in Guwahati, slated to kick-off from February 06, 2016.

The initial list of 21 Players have already joined the Preparatory Camp in Guwahati, which commenced from January 31, 2016.

India who have been clubbed alongside Sri Lanka and Maldives in Group A and will clash swords against Sri Lanka in their opening fixture on February 06, 2016 before taking on Maldives on February 10, 2016.

Talking exclusively to www.the-aiff.com, Lee Johnson said: “We have imbibed a new setup for the U-23 National Team and most of the Players are new. The lads understand the importance of the Competition and they remain focused on emulating the success of the Senior Team.”

When inquired about the squad fitness, Lee opined, “The squad is fit and looks in good shape except Nikhil and Amrinder who are nursing minor injuries. But we expect them to train within the next couple of days.”

The 28 member squad will further be trimmed down to 20 and will be announced either on 4th or the 5th.

[Notice] Selection Camp - Senior National Women Football Championship

The Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) will be arranging a Selection Camp at Bangalore Football Stadium for Zonal leg of the Senior National Women Football Championship. The matches will be played during December 15 to 25. 

The selection camp will commence from Monday, November 30, onward from 7 AM.
